Machine Operator $14.00 1st Shift Portage, MI
Summary : Come to work and get ready to work on a machine that makes plastic molds
Essential duties and responsibilities :
- Maintain proper tools(issued) in order to perform the duties of the job
- Must stay at press unless relieved for break, emergencies, etc.
- Maintain a clean work area-keep scrap / runners ground, floor swept
- Understand and have work area prepared (boxes, labels for boxes, part gauges, QCI sheets, grinder, etc.) prior to operation
- May be required to assist in relieving other machine operators for break.
Qualifications :
- Assembly or manufacturing experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to learn how to measure in increments of pounds, ounces
- Ability to learn how to read calipers, gauges, micrometers, and scales
- Basic mechanical skills
Physical Demands :
- Able to stand all day
- Able to work in a hot environment when summer comes around
