Our client is looking for a Compounder/Machine Operator to join their team in Irving, Tx.
Summary
We are looking or a compounder to join our growing team. A compounder will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients for a variety of products. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and must have a particular eye and attention to detail.
2nd second shift :Monday- Friday (3pm - 11:30 pm)
Responsibilities:
- Read work orders to determine production specifications
- Accurately identify and select raw materials
- Accurately weigh raw materials according to batch work order specifications
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing specified times
- Dump and pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment
- Properly complete paperwork for each batch that is produced
- Accurately return all raw materials to their designated location
- Properly and thoroughly clean, sanitize and set up necessary manufacturing/processing equipment
- Perform other related duties or projects as required.
- Clean and sanitize work areas on a daily basis
- Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required
- Clean and sanitize work areas daily
- Must follow GMP’s and procedures in all phases of work, while maintaining a clean and safe environment
General Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
- Forklift experience a must
- Prior experience is desired
- Experience in GMP environment is desired
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Self-motivated individual
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Physical Demands
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, balance, turn and stoop
- Tolerance of standing posture throughout shift; repetitive motion
- Able to use GMP required garments and safety equipment as required by SOP’s and GMP’s
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Able to climb ladder/stairs
