Machine Operator

Job description

Our client is looking for a Compounder/Machine Operator to join their team in Irving, Tx.

Summary

We are looking or a compounder to join our growing team. A compounder will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients for a variety of products. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and must have a particular eye and attention to detail.

2nd second shift :Monday- Friday (3pm - 11:30 pm)

Responsibilities:

• Read work orders to determine production specifications
• Accurately identify and select raw materials
• Accurately weigh raw materials according to batch work order specifications
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing specified times
• Dump and pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment
• Properly complete paperwork for each batch that is produced
• Accurately return all raw materials to their designated location
• Properly and thoroughly clean, sanitize and set up necessary manufacturing/processing equipment
• Perform other related duties or projects as required.
• Clean and sanitize work areas on a daily basis
• Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required
• Clean and sanitize work areas daily
• Must follow GMP’s and procedures in all phases of work, while maintaining a clean and safe environment

General Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
• Must be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
• Forklift experience a must
• Prior experience is desired
• Experience in GMP environment is desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Self-motivated individual
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, balance, turn and stoop
• Tolerance of standing posture throughout shift; repetitive motion
• Able to use GMP required garments and safety equipment as required by SOP’s and GMP’s
• Good eye/hand coordination
• Able to climb ladder/stairs
