Shifts: Full-time Afternoon to late evening/ includes a weekend day. Example: Sun 6:30am-3:00pm Mon-Thurs 2:00pm-10:30pm
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Remote
Salary: $USD 50,000 a year
Workplace Options have
an exciting opportunity for an EAP Counselor to join our Clinical Message team. This would either be a hybrid or fully remote position depending on the
shift timings and your proximity to our office in Canada. Our EAP
Counselors engage with participants over the phone, video, chat & email all
while demonstrating what we call: The Power of a Good Conversation – creating a
connection with the client to ensure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.

unique set of challenges, and it would be from your clinical conversation that

Requirements
What you’ll do:
- Provide single session telephonic counseling, in-the-moment
support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and
professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.
- Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness
for short-term counseling.
- Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely
with individuals at risk.
- Appropriately refer clients to
external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
- Collaboratively develop clear and concise treatment
plans for clients.
- Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case
management system.
What you’ll need:
- Must Have a Master's Degree in Social worker, Counselor or Psychology
- Minimum 2 years direct
client-contact providing counseling or mental health services
(post-qualification)
- Experience providing assessments
and/or using clinical assessment tools.
- Experience using short-term counseling
modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counseling.
- Training in
crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial.
- Ability to work with clients presenting with
substance abuse, situations of crisis, mental health symptoms and/or
family/relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
