Compressor Tech needed in the Hobbs, NM area
Schedule: Monday - Friday (12/hr shift) (possible call-out on weekends)
Contract Position
Pay Range: $450 - $600 Per Day
Per Diem: $50.00 Per Day
Job Details
- Respond to problems by troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, repairing, and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Perform proper preventative maintenance, repair and maintain the equipment
- Applicant is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting, replacement, repair parts for compressors, pumps and engines.
- Applicant must be familiar with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in the field as well as natural gas compressors and engines at the CO2 gas plant
- Applicant must be familiar with gearboxes (reducers and multipliers)
- Applicant must be familiar with pump operations (vertical and horizontal)
- Applicant must be familiar with laser alignment procedures
- Overhaul engines, compressors and related components as needed
Job Qualification Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3yrs to 5yrs experience in natural gas compressor maintenance OR Related Field
- Previous experience in oil and gas plant preferred
- Must be able to troubleshoot, rebuild and align a variety of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, natural gas compressors gas driven and electric driven. Perform medium to heavy physical work
- Understand the basic operations of production equipment such as compressors, pumps, etc.
- Mechanical experience on pumps, engines and compressors.
- Must be able to work in a H2S environment
