What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Analyst - GPE position at World Bank Group?

  • Act as a subject matter expert in all procurement related policy/processes for the GPE Secretariat
  • Develop SOP, guidance and templates on procurement process
  • Provide procurement advice for all types of corporate GPE admin procurements including Board and Committee and linked meetings, and procurement of event firms & hotels.
  • Manage the bidding process for low value procurements (less than USD 50K). For competitive bids, manage the interaction with procurement, assist with documentation, forming technical panels as needed
  • Liaise with corporate procurement and accounting, handling all system interactions on behalf of the TTL (Task Team Lead) and submitting to Budget holder for approval
  • Monitor and track the open commitments and take necessary action by working closely with TTL and Procurement.
  • For cards, set policy, issues guidance, provide training and support users as questions and issues arise.
  • Address service requests from staff and management that are assigned by the Team Lead or advanced from the Tier 1 staff on the team.
  • Work directly with staff and managers who need hands-on support rather than just written guidance.
  • Educating business users responsible for handling and operating business processes

Selection Criteria

  • At least 2 years of experience including Procurement functions. A master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience in eConsultant2, SAP, travel, and Admin Portal.
  • Advanced skills across the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint Online.
  • Experience with business process development and delivery
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized and leads time effectively.
  • Commitment to partnership and collaboration, both within the sub team as well as across the Secretariat.
  • Persistence and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Problem solving skills.
