Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for consumer complaint and credit reporting dispute programs.
Responsible for the oversight of state examination’s related government relations program.
Responsible for the oversight of compliance licensing program including state, local and agent licensing as well as annual financial reporting.
Assist the Director of Compliance in Internal or External Audit activities.
Assist the Director of Compliance in preparing materials for the board and compliance committees.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Considerable understanding of state and federal consumer finance laws and regulations.
Considerable understanding of consumer protection laws and regulations.
Proven experience of developing and leading a team of up to 5 employees.
Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing the Company’s industry/business and products.
Strong ability to interact and communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization, internal and external, by telephone, in person and through other outlets.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and delegate duties.
Ability to investigate and analyze information, draw conclusions, and present recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Adaptive to change.
Education and/or Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience at a consumer finance company, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Bachelor’s Degree - or equivalent experience required.
Applicable Compliance certification(s) including CRCM, CAMS, CIPP or other related certifications highly desired.
Advanced skills with MS Word and Excel.
