Title: JNCIE Engineer
Location: Location: Remote with Onsite for the first week in Raleigh Durham, NC

Job Summary
JNCIE Engineer
Juniper SME
Routing Migration:
- Design a new eBGP network Work with CLIENT infrastructure staff to understand routing requirements at the network edge
- Work with CLIENT infrastructure staff to understand the future direction for routing products at CLIENT
- Work with CLIENT infrastructure staff to build and validate a new BGP network design that can be expanded to support multiple vendors in a common IP space
- Assist CLIENT in integrating two or more vendors into the edge network design
- Provide documentation and diagrams outlining new design and implementation
- Assist CLIENT in implementing new edge network design in test lab in preparation for moving to production
- Design and integrate new leaf and spine architecture for core L3 Work with external consultant to devise a new leaf and spine architecture
- Work with external consultant to design an initial integration strategy between the two architectures
- Work with external consultants to design a full migration strategy to leaf and spine design
- Replace existing edge routers with new Juniper routers Deploy juniper routers into test lab
- Apply new network design to new Juniper routers
- Demonstrate proper operation of routing design in test lab in preparation for production deployment
- Implement new edge design in CLIENT production network without adversely affecting production services
- Document new deployments and train IS Infrastructure staff Outline deployment procedures for moving from test lab to production BGP network
- Document deployment and challenges encountered and provide to CLIENT staff
- Cross-train staff on new network design and how to maintain and administer network
- External consultant to provide 1 week training for CLIENT IS Infrastructure on management and design of new L3 core architecture
- Datacenter:
- Design Consultant to discuss direction and requirements from CLIENT on a new core and datacenter design
- to architect a new design for presentation to CLIENT IS Infrastructure staff
- to design deployment strategy for new core and datacenter switching
- to deploy hardware in a POC environment for stress and failure testing
to work with CLIENT IS Infrastructure staff to integrate POC environment with production environment
- to configure Juniper Apstra appliance(s) and cloud presence
- to assist CLIENT staff in monitoring application usage and devise tuning strategies on the network for application data streams
- to assist CLIENT staff in implementing tuning strategies using the Juniper Apstra product space
- consultant to spend 1 week training CLIENT IS Infrastructure staff on new design and how to manage and scale it. Also provide training for Juniper Apstra
- consultant to spend 1 week training both CLIENT IS Infrastructure and IS Security staff on System Security Plan development and requirements
