WHO we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for ensure smooth collection and validation of data, documents, and invoices via email with logistics colleagues, business partners, internal partners, and customers based on logistic background or knowledge.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct collection of data and documents to support department’s projects/activities.
- Examine documents, materials and data to assess conformation to standards.
- Coordinate and execute special projects and ancillary services.
- Work in a continuous improvement spirit across a highly-matrix working environment.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education:
- 0-2 years related experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of logistics operations related to the employee’s specific area of work and limited knowledge of overall logistics operations.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and thorough preparation of transportation documents.
- Ability to exercise judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Ability to work on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions.
