Position Overview: As a Housekeeping Attendant you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility including outdoor and indoor areas. Housekeeping Attendants perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that the premises are safe, sanitary, and presentable for our guests and employees. Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surface in various areas such as offices, restrooms, locker rooms and public areas. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly. Empty used towel and robe receptacles and take to appropriate storage areas. Pick up trash and towels around pools and in outdoor spaces. Clean pool handrails and nearby furniture as needed. Clean and sanitize showers, sinks, restrooms, lockers, toilets, and urinals as needed. Replenish restroom and locker room supplies like soap, paper towels, toilet paper, shower amenities, etc. Clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors to maintain a clear and streak-free appearance. Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, such as cleaning agents, paper products, and trash bags, as necessary. Report any maintenance or repair needs, safety hazards, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or management. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Use personal protective equipment as required. Maintain and clean custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms. Report any equipment malfunctions for repair or replacement. Interact with building occupants, employees, or visitors in a polite and professional manner. Address any cleaning-related inquiries or concerns. Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is beneficial but not always necessary. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals used in janitorial work. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures. Reliable transportation.
