POSITION SUMMARY
Provide day-to-day custodial services and light maintenance to ensure a clean and safe work environment for associates and visitors. You'll work 4 days on, 4 days off, 12-hour shifts: 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. (see attached schedule for additional details).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform cleaning assignments on a daily basis to include mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and scrubbing designated areas using manual and powered equipment.
- Collect and handle trash and recyclable materials.
- Clean restrooms and replenish towels, tissue and soap.
- Remove snow and debris from walk areas.
- Responsible for baler room and recycling activities.
- Maintain and document proper shipping weights of recycle trailers.
- Assist with building and grounds operations.
- Responsible for loading trucks as required.
- Continually identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain valid forklift and aerial lift certifications.
- Ability to consistently and effectively work independently with little or no direction and follow up to complete assignments required.
- Ability to demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of the job including an understanding of work instructions, processes, equipment, and materials to perform the job required.
- Ability to consistently and effectively complete work and required paperwork thoroughly, accurately, and neatly following established processes and procedures required.
- Ability to consistently and effectively demonstrate initiative and creativity; teamwork and cooperation; and adhere to and comply with all company and environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and work rules required.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts required.
- Prompt and reliable attendance required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Starting wage: $14.75/hour $2.00/hour shift differential. New associates participate in a 6-month training program with evaluations and pay increases based on performance.
