Role Snapshot
Our Application Development Supervisor will lead a staff of 8 - 10 full-time application developers that support the enhancement and maintenance of internal and external systems. The interactions will involve a variety of solutions ranging from processing application flows inside vendor framework applications to portal exposed interfaces used by WPS EDI external customers. You will work with individual lines of business to align resources for high priority projects and provide next level customer service to stakeholders through pro-active communication and responsiveness. You will also identify and implement solutions that reduce maintenance costs, improve system performance and reduce resource requirements by approaching work with a sense of urgency, drive, and passion to solve problems and provide work backlog metrics for capacity planning.

- Design, implement, and support application solutions to support business needs
- Provider leadership oversight to on-call issues and problem resolution.
- Take a leadership role on small to medium size projects and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
- Prepare specifications and documentation according to department standards.
- Peer review code and technical documents for other team members.

Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
- 1 or more years of related work and/or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in software development.
- 3 or more of years leading staff or complex project.
- Proven experience leading high performing teams.
- Experience with object-oriented development (OOP/OOD) using the Java or .Net programming languages and popular libraries such as Spring, STRUTS, Log4j, Apache, etc.
- Knowledge of distributed source code management tools and processes.
- Experience with RDBMS (MS SQL/DB2).
- Experience with web services using REST/JSON and SOAP/XML/WSDL/DTD.
- Experience with design patterns and unit testing and with Information Systems.
Salary Range
- $100,000 to $130,000
- The base pay offered for this position may vary based on your experience, knowledge, skills and may fall outside the posted range.
