What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter (Manufacturing) position at WPT Power Corp?
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
- Cleans, paints, and pulls parts. Assures proper paint is used on corresponding parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain constant flow of cleaned and painted parts as required by assembly and shipping.
- Help stock cleaned and excess painted parts in inventory.
- Maintain adequate levels of supplies necessary to maintain constant painting as required, notifying Production Team Lead when new stock is needed.
- Utilizes safety equipment as required.
- Report’s failure in equipment or safety devices to manager.
- Maintains safety and other training requirements appropriate to job.
- Maintains a high standard quality including properly painted parts.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other assignments or duties as required.
- Works as a member of the team.
- Complies with company safety, attendance, and tardiness rules.
- Provides excellent customer service.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to the Production Scheduler.
- Coordinates with assemblers and material handler warehouse personnel to fulfill production needs.
EDUCATIONAL OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but reading is essential.
- Good eyesight, dexterity, and painting experience are a plus.
- Diligence and attention to detail.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Forklift certification within 30 days of hire date.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Will be required stoop, stand, and bend.
- Ability to visually assess paint job quality.
- Must have hand eye dexterity and ability to do repetitive hand movements.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to be fit for a respirator and complete a Pulmonary Function Test.
