What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Wrought Washer Mfg., Inc.?
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for researching, selecting, and purchasing quality products and materials while building relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing.
Essential Functions
- Manage supplier communication
- Review and monitor purchase requisitions
- Monitoring Purchase Orders
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
- Coordinating with shipping agencies as needed
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities
- Collaborating with suppliers
- Identifying the organizations purchasing needs
- Prepares routine reports to analyze performance and make improvements.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field desire or equivalent education and experience.
- Relevant experience required. 3 years.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Occasional domestic travel.
