The HR Manager for WSB provides both strategic and day-to-day human resources business partner support for staff across the company. This position builds meaningful relationships with business leaders by assessing, designing and implementing programs, approaches and policies that build stronger teams, support growth and enhance WSB culture. Areas of responsibility include employee relations, talent assessment and development, organization/team effectiveness, change management and legal compliance/risk management. This role is a key contributor to scale and grow the business, lead and develop diverse teams, solve problems with creative solutions and deliver results on behalf of our clients. This position will develop their team and has the opportunity to personally progress into an expanded leadership role as the company grows.

What You Will Do:
- Develop strategic relationships and become a trusted advisor with your business partners.
- Actively support a work culture based on WSB values: Visionary Passionate, Optimistic, Bold and Authentic.
- Assess root cause for talent and team issues using data and your HR experience. Consult and coach business leaders on methods to address staff issues in a proactive and thoughtful manner.
- Take a hands-on approach to monitor the “pulse” of the organization and ensure a high level of staff engagement.
- Coach leaders on talent assessment to build strong internal career pathways, greater diversity and succession plans.
- Understand business goals and recommend thoughtful and practical new HR approaches, policies and programs to drive continual improvements in business productivity and effectiveness.
- Design and lead HR projects to gain stakeholder buy-in, drive execution and achieve great results.
- Advise on effective organizational design and methods to enhance team effectiveness
- Partner with talent acquisition on workforce planning and quarterly business reviews.
- Ensure the right HR policies and leadership practices are in place and implemented consistently
- Ensure visibility of HR team results with consistent reporting and review of key talent metrics.
- Manage and facilitate core HR processes (performance management, salary review, etc.)
- Work in partnership with the HR team to support and add value to recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, learning and other initiatives.
- This position reports directly to the VP, Human Resources and has one direct report
What You Will Bring:
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- Our preferred candidate will have 8 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources supporting multi-state, professional and field staff. Also prefer experience in professional services and/or AEC industry
- Experience leading HR in a high growth environment
- Proven employee relations and active listening skills
- Ability to interact with all levels within and across the organization, including senior leadership
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, develop strategies, influence decision-makers and implement solutions
- Ability to navigate multiple requests, manage learning projects to meet deadlines and resolve conflicting priorities
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
