Working in WSECU’s CUSO: One Washington Financial, in this role you’ll be responsible for all loss mitigation functions within Mortgage Servicing including collections, foreclosure prevention alternatives, foreclosures and real estate owned assets. Your day may include:
- Overseeing the collection activities on delinquent real estate loans
- Ensuring staff attempts to reach out to members to make live contact on delinquent real estate loans
- Monitoring telephone queues for abandonment rates, call handling and wait times to ensure timely assistance and documentation of collection activities
- Overseeing the functions of all Foreclosure Prevention Alternatives
- Monitoring all FPA agreements and processes to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Overseeing the functions for bankruptcy and deceased member loans
- Communicating with legal counsel for on-going bankruptcies and with personal representatives on deceased-member loans
- Managing and overseeing foreclosures and the disposition of real estate owned assets
- Ensuring all functions and notices required for judicial and non-judicial foreclosures are completed in a timely and compliant manner
- Monitoring interactions with GSE’s, investors, legal counsel, real estate agents, utility companies, title companies and mortgage insurers
- Communicating directly with the Director of Compliance on a regular basis on trending and loan performance
- Communicating directly with GSE’s and Investors on charge offs, reporting and other loan-level issues
- Ensuring compliance with investor, federal and state regulations, policies and processes; GSE, CFPC, NCUA, state regulators as well as other applicable agencies
- Managing Loss Mitigation Staff, conducting one-on-one sessions and performance evaluations
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mortgage servicing, including three (3) years’ experience with loss mitigation
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Experience with extensive knowledge of FNMA or FHLMC servicing guidelines as well as state and federal regulation governing loan servicing
- Must be, or able to be, licensed as a Loan Originator through NMLS
- Proficiency in analysis, problem solving and decision making
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with FICS, Temenos or Symitar software platforms
Competitive pay: $72,476.83 - $108,715.24 annually, dependent on applicable qualifications

When you’d work: Monday through Friday, full time, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm daily for this Exempt position, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of the department.
