Compensation: Expected Salary (Colorado only): $75,000 - $85,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Your Impact
- Provide guidance to internal clients regarding subcontract type, higher-tier contract requirements, insurance, and risk considerations, subcontracting practices, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and issue subcontracts and purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors and conduct negotiations with all levels of supplier/subcontractor management and obtain legal review and management approval of changes to standard terms and conditions.
- Manage the execution of subcontracts and/or purchase orders and modifications of varying dollar value, risk, creativity and complexity for services and commodities for offices assigned by supervisor to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and good business practices
- Take initiative to resolve subcontractor performance problems, changes, disputes and claims and ensure the implementation of the most appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare Purchase Orders and Change Orders in ERP system for each individual subcontract or purchase order
- Interface with IT, insurance, tax, health and safety and other applicable departments as required
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in drafting, editing, and negotiating subcontracts/contracts, preferably in the engineering, infrastructure, or environmental consulting or remediation business sectors for federal, state, local, and commercial clients
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic team player with proactive attitude
- Detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, collaborate with team members and solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.
- Working knowledge of various contract compensation types Experience with federal subcontracts and FAR/DFARS knowledge and influences on procurement is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat.
- Must pass background check
