This Opportunity
WSP is seeking a talented Contract Administrator, Aviation to join our Aviation Team in our Austin, TX office.
Be involved in projects with our Aviation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. This position will lead project and program development at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Our Aviation Team provides design, engineering and planning services for airports infrastructure including runways, taxiways, terminals and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Aviation Team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments.
Your Impact
- Using approved templates, prepare, review, and facilitate review, negotiation, and approval of subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual instruments to satisfy company needs, client requirements, and assure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
- Read and comprehend customer contracts, identify major Client contract requirements, subcontracted work scope, and incorporate as needed in draft subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual instruments.
- Provide guidance to team members regarding subcontract type, higher-tier contract requirements, insurance, and risk considerations, subcontracting practices, and issue resolution.
- Facilitate the review, execution, and perform filing and distribution of Client contract and subcontract documents, and perform other work as assigned.
- Collaborate with legal, risk management, project teams, and subcontractors to resolve contract and subcontract related issues. and facilitate successful negotiation and timely execution of agreements.
- Advise project teams on subcontract template applicability and use, compensation types, forms of amendment, insurance requirements, NDAs, and the overall subcontracting process.
- Take initiative to identify needs, and help develop, and implement efficient and effective practices and processes to meet evolving business needs.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Planning or related field.
- 7 years of experience in drafting, and editing subcontracts/contracts, preferably in the aviation, civil engineering, transportation infrastructure, or environmental remediations business sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to lead team members to achieve department and company objectives.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, and collaborate with team members and solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.
- Working knowledge of various contract compensation types.
- Exposure to state, municipal, and federal contracting processes, and practices.
- Highly proficient in MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in aviation, infrastructure engineering or with professional services contracts.
