Professional Job Family: Administrative Professional - Not OT Eligible Position Details: Summary of Duties: Provide academic advisement for prospective and current undergraduate students within the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs located in Bremerton at the Olympic College site. Coordinate academic programs related to recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts. Responsibilities include the student recruitment process, collaboration with Pullman coordinator to rank Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering program applicants, assessing academic level, responding to academic inquiries, advising students, and developing individual academic plans. Other duties include processing and maintaining student records for undergraduate students in the programs and assisting the Undergraduate Studies Committee Chairperson in administering the undergraduate program, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries regarding undergraduate student program policies and procedures. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years academic advising or related experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional academic advising experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis. Positions who will lead or supervisor will require one or more years of full-time experience leading or directing the work of others. Ability to have or obtain at the time of hire a valid drivers license. Preferred Qualifications: One year full-time student services experience. Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply WSU policies and procedures as related to student records and undergraduate program requirements. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
