MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (HVAC-REFRIGERATION)
Jefferson, GA. $30-$35 per hour DOE.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires completion of an apprenticeship or technical degree.
- Experience diagnosing and replacing faulty evaporating/condensing coils, compressors, TVX valves, pressure switches, gas-fired heat exchangers.
- Familiar in metal fabrication and welding as required
- Minimum 4 years in manufacturing or HVAC/refrigeration commercial environment
- Thorough knowledge of equipment and understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems with formal training or education.
- Proficient in relay logic, pneumatic systems, electrical control power, motor control, AC drives
- CFC/EPA certified preferred
- Ability to use computer and computer systems
- Basic math skills and record-keeping skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift 50lb, physically fit to bent, climb and work on lifts and platforms, mentally fit to work safely under pressure, and complete the tasks in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the repair, installation, start-up, and Preventive Maintenance of industrial, commercial, equipment, refrigeration coolers, freezer, chiller units, water heaters, and boilers.
- Maintain building and its components through routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and necessary repairs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose on-site electrical and mechanical equipment for functional and structural repairs, including conveyors systems, material handling systems, steam boilers, and air compressors.
- Installs and repairs environmental-control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout
- Troubleshoots PLCs and PLC-controlled Complex HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanical equipment
- Fabricate, repair, and building of stainless-steel equipment as needed
- Move, install, and adjusts fixtures, motors, and other electrical/mechanical equipment - Flexibility to work after business hours and weekends if needed.
- Hours: First 3-6 months 7:00pm-3:30pm Monday-Friday (Schedule May Vary) Some Overtime May Be Required. After first 3-6 months will be moved to 2:30pm-11pm Monday-Friday (Schedule May Vary)
