Specific topics cover chromatin modification and stress / pathogen response, plant immune signaling with a focus on responses to fungi, as well as genetics and genomics of fungal resistance in sorghum.
The project in sorghum is designed to generate strategies for effective disease control while the other areas focus on fundamental research to understand processes required for plant responses to pathogens.
Minimum Requirements :
- Research experience and molecular biology skills, including QPCR, ChIP, protein interactions assays such as co-IP, Western blot, molecular cloning, tissue culture, and some knowledge of gene editing.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in biological sciences - plant biology, genetics, or molecular biology.
