The Role
The Client Advocate is a senior-level account management/client-oriented role responsible for providing strategic relationship management and consultative services to our clients. The Client Advocate is responsible for marshalling WTW resources to provide coordinated service and placement activities that meet the clients insurance and risk management needs; responsible for ensuring relevant regulatory and technical standards are met; leverages advanced skill set with knowledge to design and consult with clients on insurance coverage and services; uses understanding of clients needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client relationships; has the ability to focus on delivering exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Proactively and positively manage WTWs business relationship with the client.
Coordinate and take ultimate responsibility for the comprehensive delivery of WTWs service to the client and ensure the integrity of said provision at all times.
Identify, engage and integrate delivery of all WTW internal resources to deliver on the client experience.
Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients; monitors insurance and risk management needs in collaboration with WTW resource, practice and industry groups.
Recommend appropriate solutions throughout the policy term (including acquisition due diligence).
Design, prepare, negotiate and deliver fee/compensation agreements to clients.
Drive the RFP response process, including review, identification and coordination of line of business groups, and document ownership.
Design and deliver full client presentations/proposals, client advocacy reports, client service plans and schedules.
Ensure Group policy requirements (legal, regulatory & compliance) are met.
Increase the profitability of the client account & ensuring retention of that business over time.
Manage all client renewals to establish and implement the client-specific renewal strategy. Collaborates with WTW resource, practice and industry groups to develop and deliver renewal to clients. Engage with Broking to understand marketplace changes.
Build and develop market relationships in collaboration with broking and sales.
Actively expand existing client relationships and assist with the preparation and delivery of our value proposition on new business.
Lead by example and provide a strong role model and influence on others for best client relationship management practices.
Serve as a mentor to Account Executives.
Contribute to the revenue growth of the office.
The Requirements
10 years of insurance experience in a client-facing role required
BA/BS degree required
Knowledge of commercial insurance renewal end to end process steps and owners
Able to apply knowledge of coverage forms in the analysis of program design, the identification of coverage gaps, and ongoing coverage consultation
Relationship Management skills: able to leverage internal and external relationships to bring WTW resources and assets tailored to client needs; ability to drive conflict resolution
Negotiation skills: Ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to do complex deals, drive consensus across internal and external stakeholders to close deals
Business Acumen; knowledge of strategy, tactics, and solutions for the client, and/or in the marketplace
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; group presentation skills, ability to drive complex/technical conversations
Effectively advocates for change. Provides encouragement, takes control of team projects, leads key work areas, collaborates with others, and provides clear guidance to ensure others fulfill roles effectively.
Excellent project management skills; end to end oversight of large, complex, ambiguous or multi-dimensional projects
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Insurance P&C license required
WTW may be subject to employment-related COVID-19 vaccination mandates from time to time in certain jurisdictions that may require certifying and providing documentation of vaccination against COVID-19 to work in a WTW office.
