Who we are looking for:
VML is seeking a Technical Project Manager for one of our top clients to manage largescale projects surrounding various digital products and databases built internally to service the account. We are looking for a technology-focused, enthusiastic, critical thinker/problem solver that thrives on being engaged at all levels of a project. The Project Manager will understand how to drive on-time, under-budget, and at-quality project delivery. The role also demands experience with project scoping, resource management, and schedules to successfully navigate and deliver all aspects of the assignment.
A note about workstyle: VML would like candidates for this position to be comfortable going into our Atlanta office 2-3 days a week. Options for remote candidacy will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
What you'll do:
- Work | Lead the development and implementation of tactical project plans for the Tactical Enterprise Services Enablement branch of the System Team for the SAFe Enterprise. Actively participate in SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning by facilitating and leading the project team through PI planning breakout sessions as the Technical Project Manager. Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies throughout each PI to ensure delivery against the teams PI planning objectives and commitments. Facilitate risk management with the team to develop, communicate, and oversee risk management plans. Utilize tools such as Teams, ProductBoard, JIRA, Excel Formulas, MIRO, and Planning.io for project management activities.
- People | Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Oversee team resources, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholder to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project and PI objectives and timelines.
- Process | Track and report on project and PI objective progress; including escalations and updates on risks to the success of projects and PI objectives for the project team. Support implementation and compliance of the System Team Governance and Guidance for the SAFe Enterprise. Manage and report resource and budget allocation utilization and burn for projects.

What you'll need:
- 3-5 years of experience managing technical projects and teams as the project manager utilizing expertise in the latest Agile SDLC or ITSM/DevOps methodologies and Scrum or ITIL Frameworks in a professional environment - agency or consulting environment preferred.
- Strong experience in facilitating agile ceremonies and guiding teams through agile practices.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure, Data Services, and InfoSec to execute needs in a SAFe Agile enterprise environment.
- Expertise in using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Teams, and Excel Formulas.
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Proven leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a team leader and player to facilitate collaboration among team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities to address challenges in project delivery.
- Flexibility, initiative, dedication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel on occasion for client meetings, team gatherings, and/or conferences.
