Senior Director of Product Management, Streaming - Remote, Full Time:

Wurl is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to “own the product” for Wurl’s portfolio of CTV streaming services available on the Wurl Platform. Our streaming services are B2B services and infrastructure including Wurl’s leading FAST channel “Scheduler” and our worldwide CTV streaming network “Global FAST Pass” (GFP).  Wurl Scheduler GFP provides content companies around the world with a global distribution solution simplifying the creation and distribution of FAST channels, delivery of live events and on-demand programming. Wurl’s GFP is the market leader and backbone connecting our content company customers with the high-growth streaming app ecosystem. 

Wurl’s Senior Director of Product Management for Streaming will combine many qualities: deep knowledge of the streaming market, great team-communication skills, off-the-charts skills managing complex product launch timelines, comfortable providing direction to other teams including engineering/marketing/sales.

Working with Wurl’s product management team, you will play a critical role in defining Wurl’s streaming services roadmap and run the cross-company process of bringing (y)our streaming product ideas to global adoption. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment with a passion for understanding streaming customers’ evolving needs. The Product Manager for Streaming will be part of a small product team, providing an opportunity to be responsible for large product scope, personal growth and regular interactions with Wurl’s executive team.

What you will do:

• Develop the Internet-scale product vision, roadmap, design, strategy, and success of Wurl’s streaming products.
• Lead strategic direction and product decisions for streaming products & services, in partnership with your team of product managers, engineering and cross-functional teams
• Working closely with Wurl’s customers (including many of the world’s leading content brands), Identify and launch new and innovative solutions that map to product/market fit, drive customer success, maintain market leadership and create revenue growth.
• Communicate to internal stakeholders the product roadmap, competitive advantages and product benefits.
• Drive product discussions with customers and  internal stakeholders, gathering insight to develop product requirements and roadmap
• Recruit and manage a team of product managers, focusing on their career development and growth
• Execute efficiently in a fast-paced, fluid start-up environment where change and learning is constant

Requirements: 

• 7 years in technology product management, with at least 5 years of product management experience in CTV streaming or mobile media distribution (VOD, OTT, etc.).
• Experience with the development and operation of streaming infrastructure services including HLS streaming, DRM, SSAI, playout, descriptive metadata, EPG metadata, etc. 
• Customer centric, obsessed with learning about customer needs and ability to translate them into meaningful products/features
• Comfortable analyzing data and making data-driven decisions. Able to effectively translate roadmap decisions and success metrics to a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional distributed teams
• Experience in planning, developing, and launching products successfully
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present to executive team members and key stakeholders.
• Comfortable interfacing with senior level leadership/management
