WuXi AppTec is looking for a passionate and detail oriented Events Manager to manage key aspects of global scientific and industry conferences from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; hire, train, schedule and supervise event staff; interact with key stakeholders to ensure events run smoothly; and communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Advance, plan, and supervise global events
- Provide leadership and guidance for event personnel
- Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, early mornings, weekends & holidays as needed
- Create work schedules for event & security staff, delegate assignments, and review performance/results
- Communicate with all key stakeholders to ensure events run smoothly
- Promote events through social media channels
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- 3-4 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, PR agencies, or event management
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Bilingual in Mandarin and English is required.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful social media campaigns
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Science, Marketing or Business
