JOB SUMMARY

The Parts and Accessory Manager is responsible for directing the operation of a dealership Parts Department engaged in selling motorcycle parts and accessories. They are responsible for the sales and profit results of the department and the quality of its operation in compliance with established policies and procedures. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Meet or exceed performance standards for parts turns, parts sales, and gross margins
• Maintain parts inventory, sales, and gross margins by managing stocking levels and maximizing turns
• Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
• Exercise fair and consistent leadership with all employees
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Attract, hire, train, develop, evaluate and retain dept employees
• Ensure that all merchandise in the department is properly displayed and that general housekeeping is done on an as-needed basis
• Remain current on industry trends and fashions and facilitate the timely purchase of accessory inventory 
• Any other duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and dealership as a whole
• Provide and/or arrange training, direction, and scheduling for all Parts department staff. 
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory levels as determined by GM and Parts Director.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Computer Literate
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of parts operations including purchasing, inventory control, and pricing
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic 
    

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager at an Automobile/Motorcycle Dealership or wholesale parts department

PHYSICAL FACTORS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Both indoor and outdoor shifts
• Able to move up to 25 lbs
