Provide leadership and coordination of company's financial planning and budget management functions. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Manages the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to Daifuku. Provides analysis and documentation to Senior.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budgets.
- Responsible for all internal and external reporting including preparation of the reports required by the parent company.
- Preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts for assigned operations.
- Manages quarterly reviews and year-end audits for independent external auditors.
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Oversight responsibility for insuring proper internal control environment, direct compliance activities, coordinate all financial.
- Manages JSOX compliance, coordinating between the Daifuku Internal Audit Department, the external auditors, and Wynright.
- Implement best practices in worldwide accounting organizations.
- Develops reports and other documentation for the Executive Team and other leadership teams.
- Direct department staff personnel responsibilities: effective recruiting, selection, performance management, motivation, pay and development of assigned staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; Master's degree a plus
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience or accounting experience within a public company with heavy exposure to budgeting, financial reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley/JSOX
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- SAP or similar ERP experience is strongly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel and
- PowerBI (Microsoft Data Visualization) or similar experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues.
