Position Description:
The Manager, Cost position will oversee and perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities to identify problems and make recommendations. This role assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports for a project or program

The Manager, Cost position will oversee and perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities to identify problems and make recommendations. This role assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports for a project or program
Job Requirements:
- Develops and oversees the preparation of cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Oversees the standard EVM program and augments it where necessary to accommodate contractual requirements and client expectations
- Provides financial reporting, metrics, and trending through the Project Controls Organization
- Prepares and manages staffing plans (cost and job hours) with supporting scope definition for projects and programs. Allocate and oversee internal charge codes
- Develop, maintain, and update Estimates at Completion (EACs) for respective programs
- Tracking of labor hours and verifying supplier invoices
- Prepares and coordinates specific cost breakdown structures, budgets, and cost reports in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures
- Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and works with Engineering and other sources to coordinate the production of required data to conform to the overall estimate preparation plans
- Develops and applies unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs and to otherwise developed quantities within a discipline or other specialty
- Supports scope change management
- Maintains professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, business, finance, or related technical field is required
- Ten plus years of cost control experience or at least five years of experience with the project engineering/management, design, operation, or maintenance of power generation or industrial processes facilities, in the nuclear industry
- Formal training, certification, or work experience in project management or applicable experience may be substituted. (e.g., PMI-PMP, AACE certification, MBA, or MS Engineering Management)
- Expert knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting reporting practices
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships while working in a matrixed organization or applicable experience may be substituted
- Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and DCAA regulations and requirements
