Here’s What We’re Looking for:
You are a recent graduate with a BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. Perhaps you have a few years of experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory. You are the type of person who enjoys being part of a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment with a strong emphasis on meeting operational targets and objectives. In this role, you will be doing chemical analysis and problem-solving for various Xerox materials using multiple techniques such as wet chemistry, rheology, elemental analysis, or chromatographic separations. Experience is an asset; being excited to learn how to operate analytical instrumentation in depth is a requirement.
What to Expect:
As an Analytical Chemist, you will support a wide variety of tasks and functions within the lab that will include the following elements:
- Analyze various sample using qualitative and quantitative chemistry
- Understand and use basic laboratory safety equipment and instructions, precautions in handling reagents, and disposal of chemical waste according with local environment regulations
- Maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory records
- Perform analysis per proscribed methods or develop new analysis methods as required
- Support the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation
- Perform other duties specifically assigned by the team leader
What you Bring to the Table:
- Possess a BS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
