- The candidate will be responsible for investigating, documenting, resolving, and escalating issues to development raised by customers. Problems may be related to Xerox printer behavior, Windows Client/Server behavior, Xerox Work Place solutions, and other 3rd party solutions that utilize the Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as Windows Service 2016 and higher and Windows 10 and higher.
- The candidate will be required to work regularly and closely with multiple organizations in the support value chain: the field, level 2 and various level 4 (development groups), and 3rd-party vendors.
- The ideal candidate would be able to problem-solve at the system level. Investigate, replicate, document, and resolve new and/or complex system problems. This may involve analyzing device logs, network traces, customer configurations, etc. This may include collaborating with Service, Program, Support, and Engineering organizations. Provide remote support as necessary.
Key Characteristics:
- Communicate across the technical support teams, and be able to specifically articulate problems, observations, actions, and resolutions throughout the technical problem-solving process.
- Communicate the needs of the customer to the engineering teams.
- Articulate limitations of the system to the customer, while being resourceful in finding ways to meet the customer’s requirements by utilizing the full extent of the system’s capabilities.
- Represent Xerox to the customer in a professional manner, representing the strength and capability of Xerox technology, projecting own spirit of confidence and technical acuity.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with logical deduction and by performing experiments.
Qualifications:
- Graduation in a specialized field (Eg: Bachelor of Engineering)
- Bachelor's or master's Degree illustrating strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent system-level problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Should have the “big picture” perspective and be able to look deep enough into a problem without losing focus on the entire system.
- Passionate about relentlessly benchmarking and identifying opportunities to improve the capabilities of the device for the customers.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask is important for this position.
- Ability to work individually and, more importantly, in a group setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
