We are looking for a Platform Support Specialist to join our growing software engineering organization. The right person will help move our platform to the next level and help us manage and continually improve our software solutions You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to support internal stakeholders and help technology and product teams to implement and support high visibility applications. This is an IDEAL job if you are just starting your career in software engineering support and you want to be part of an intensely skilled team, who feels total ownership of their work, and can’t imagine a day without learning new applications/functionality. You will play a crucial role in Xometry’s growing platform and everything you do will matter. What You'll Do ·       Directly engage and collaborate with development teams to quickly resolve customer issues or reported bugs. ·       Investigate, document, and escalate platform inquiries to related technology teams ·       Use software, tools, and applications to identify malfunctioning of applications or software systems ·       Analyze necessary software requirements ·       Work with a team of developers and quality assurance to troubleshoot errors ·       Track and monitor response to inquiries and problems. ·       Develop procedures for support activities and specific related projects. ·       Compile, prioritize, and report feature requests for product direction and implementation ·       Develop and maintain familiarity with Xometry’s applications ·       Communicate technical concerns and solutions to people with varying degrees of technical knowledge. ·       Close collaboration with Technology and Product teams in a cross-functional team environment ·       Demonstrate operational responsibility for the services that are owned by your team ·       Work in an environment that supports your individual growth What We're Looking For ·       Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and time-management skills. ·       Experience serving as quality assurance for escalated customer requests and bugs. ·       Ability to identify requirements and categorize/prioritize issues. ·       Exceptional attention to detail. ·       Initiative to challenge processes & improve results. ·       Knowledge of programming languages is a plus ·       Understanding of software engineering fundamentals ·       Some understanding and experience with front-end technologies is a plus ·       Must be a US citizen, green card holder, or a legal permanent resident of the United States If this job isn’t for you but you have a friend who may be a perfect fit - share this job with them!
