Bartender

The xoxo bar is a brand new and exciting restaurant opening in Early Spring 2024. xoxo is a new innovative concept which will be offering top of the line modern American/Japanese cuisine, fun and innovative creative cocktails, wine, beer & sake mixed with a fantastic experience and atmosphere in Chestnut Hill, MA.

We are now hiring and training bartenders for opening of this new exiting Restaurant in the coming weeks. We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as Bartenders. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and creating delightful dining experiences. Essential Job Elements |

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
• Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
• Weekend work availability is needed including every other Sunday, mid-week evenings availability is a plus!
• Prepare alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Extensive Wine Knowledge is a Plus

Skills and requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required
• 1 years' experience working as a bartender
• Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school preferred
• Must be able to lift 20 pound boxes and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• TIPS Certification is a plus
