You’ll join Xplor Fitness & Wellbeing — the team that builds innovative and intuitive solutions that enable gym owners and trainers to connect their clients with amazing fitness experiences. Personal training. Yoga. Bootcamp. Barre — you name it. We offer the services they need, so that they can focus on what really matters — helping their members and clients succeed.

You’ll work on our MarianaTek product. MarianaTek is a studio management software built by real players in the fitness industry. We take all the complexities of running a studio and make it easy to use, brand centric, and fitness-focused.

We are looking for a software architect who can lead Mariantek’s technology strategy and ensure our architecture enables us to continue to grow and meet our business goals. The ideal candidate has experience helping empower engineer teams by providing standards and best practices to ensure teams are aligned across the organization.

As a Software Architect, you will help us evolve our successful application to a more scalable architecture. You will work closely with the VP of engineering and the Head of Product to build a strategic technical road map.

Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have include:

• Contribute to Mariana Tek’s Technology strategy, principle, and standards.

• Work with Mariana Tek’s scrum teams to establish and continuously improve fundamental architecture and system design principles for our products.

• Work with the engineering teams to develop an architecture that is scalable, reliable, and fault tolerant.

• Engage with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and Engineers to align on a strategic technical road map.

• Conduct research on architect changes or significant re-engineering initiatives.

• Works closely with engineering teams on new initiatives either in POC/prototype or actual implementation.

• Coach internal engineers on architectural thinking and advanced engineering practices.

• 
  5 years in a software engineer leadership role

• 2 years of designing applications and platform capability for the cloud with microservices

• Proficiency with AWS or cloud native infrastructure

• Proficiency with cloud-native microservices, API design, and implementation patterns

• Experience prototyping, and marketing new ideas and product

• Experience making architecture decisions with an Agile mindset

• Experience with working with product management and product designers to create and execute quarterly product roadmaps

• Experience mentoring and coaching an engineering team

• Collaborate with other business stakeholders including Customer Success, Sales, Finance and Security

• Communicates clearly and kindly with technical and non-technical colleagues
