A/R Group Leader
Local tree pruning and vegetation management company is looking for an experienced specialist to lead a team and provide direct support to the AR Manager. Located in Willow Grove, PA

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of cash applications team.
- Weekly reporting and analysis of unapplied and miscellaneous cash receipts and accounts receivables.
- Work with A/R Analyst to identify causes, improve process to reduce overall number of payments that go to unapplied cash status.
- Establish monthly review of unapplied payments and overpayments, work with A/R Analyst to reconcile report and refund as appropriate.
- Monthly reconciliations of AR to GL, miscellaneous AR write offs and other journal entries as needed to support the department.
- Leads initiatives to improve processes, within established policy framework to resolve recurring issues.
- Supports financial and customer audits. Leads reporting and provides supporting documentation as needed.
- Serves as backup and support for manager
Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in Accounts Receivable, or general accounting and/or billing required.
- Prior leadership experience 3yrs and a four-year degree preferred.
- The ability to understand departmental goals and help lead personnel and processes towards meeting these goals
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to teach others required (pivot tables, vlookup, etc).
- Ability to work independently using judgment and analytical skills to resolve problems or discrepancies.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Willingness to work as both a team member and leader
- Knowledge of ATE accounting and/or billing procedures a plus.
- Must be willing to travel to meet with clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
