General:
Xtreme is looking for a visual storyteller who can craft narratives from our cars, culture, team, events, and customers into compelling video content, distributed to our audiences at strategic points of the customer journey, informing, exciting, and moving them as it aligns with our marketing initiatives.
Expectations:
The Videographer is responsible for the creation of video content from concept to delivery with a primary focus on video for marketing content, advertisements, social media micro content and weekly YouTube videos.
This position will report to, and work closely with, the Content Marketing Manager to deliver video content that is aligned with the organization’s content strategy as well as work with the Social Media Coordinator to publish video content to relevant social media channels.
The Videographer is expected to travel to and capture content at one Xtreme Xperience event each month as well as pursue other content opportunities that include travel on occasion.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Go where the stories take you, whether in the office or in the field at racetracks across the country
- Proactively collaborate with the marketing team to creatively contribute to the overall social media and content strategy
- Plan and perform pre-production work including developing video concepts, collaborating on scripts and storyboarding, scouting and preparing site locations or studio environments, creating shot lists, coordinating crews and gear
- Plan and perform production work which include camera equipment selection, operation of camera and production equipment including video, still photography, audio and lighting equipment
- Plan and perform post-production tasks which include reviewing footage, organizing files, making editorial decisions, video and sound edits, rough cuts, audio mixing, color correction, visual effects, and final finishing
- Publish one video per week to Xtreme Xperience’s YouTube channel
- Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator to publish weekly social media micro content (Reels, Stories, TikToks, etc)
- Collect, organize, and archive multimedia files
- Work with designers to create graphics for videos and the website
- Manage and maintain media equipment inventory
- Manage outsourced creators and editors when applicable
- Maintain a consistent visual style that fits within brand guidelines across all media formats
- Communicate plans with relevant stakeholders (event team, racetrack contacts, etc)
- Meet with marketing team members to maintain alignment on strategy and deliverables
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, OR one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in the operation of camera and media equipment
- Proficient with Video Editing Software (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro)
- Can demonstrate a portfolio or history of high quality creative work
- Proficient in storyboarding, scripting, and concepting
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or Motion preferred
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus
- Understand the fundamentals of branding
- Candidates must report to our Chicago office

The Videographer will travel to events to capture content and assist the team in various roles where needed. At the track you are a strong team player who helps your co-workers set up and break down event equipment. Videographers will be expected to attend at least 12 XX events throughout the calendar year, in conjunction with a 40-hour office workweek. Our team works in the office 3 days per week and from home 2 days
