BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

Position Summary Description: Provides planning, decision, and administrative support to Sales and Business Development teams, including the Strategic Business Partner program and customer business review process.  Duties include data collection, generating reports, product inventory matching, pricing analysis, and analyses providing insight into customer performance and trends. Must have strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail.       Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate the communication between Sales and Supply Chain on customer usage changes by running reports as needed.  Proactively track ETA dates to stay ahead of potential issues.  Assist Sales management with weekly and monthly data analysis and reports.  Includes customized reports for specific customers’ needs on a regular cadence.      Identify, track and submit operator coupon opportunities for top customers.  Maintain a log of rebates for customer review purposes. Coordinates the Strategic Business Partner process of onboarding a new/existing customer into the program.  Responsibilities include product matching, usage communication to Supply Chain, pricing analysis and order guide set up.  Monitors all phases of the process to ensure progress is being made in order to meet all deadlines. Analyzes usage by vendor and customer to identify price deviation opportunities.  Coordinates with Cost Management team to implement deviated costs and pricing. Gathers customer specific information for business reviews including sales history, fill rate, on time delivery, descending dollar usage reports, price deviations, operator coupons, vendor rebates, etc.  Facilitates communication between departments to ensure all tasks are done in a timely manner. Performs analyses to identify opportunities for increased customer penetration, customer cost savings, and other customer solutions. Qualifications: Education/Training and Experience Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. One to two years of experience in a business analysis related field.  Foodservice industry a plus. This position involves extensive computer work and telephone communications. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
