ABOUT
Y7 Studio is sweat dripping, beat bumping, candlelit yoga. All studios are heated to 80-90 degrees using state-of-the-art infrared technology, which helps create a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility. Classes are paced to the beat of the music with tracks from varied artists and genres. We practice in a dark, candlelit room with no mirrors to encourage you to turn your focus inward and explore your individual practice.
In addition to its studios across New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, Y7 offers on-demand and live streamed classes through Y7 Online, along with a 5-star rated teacher training program.
POSITION
Seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Leadership team as our Head of People. As the Head of People at Y7 you will act as a champion for company culture and help drive the
company's ethos and infrastructure on hiring, development, implementation and evaluation of best in class people strategies that support the organization in achieving its vision, mission and
strategic goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership
- Lead development, visibility, focus and delivery of the Y7 culture across the organization to enable the company to achieve its mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Translate the business strategy/goals into people and organizational development strategies encompassing recruitment, onboarding, ongoing engagement, recognition, retention, cultural development and talent development.
- Ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion is firmly embedded within the People strategy, policies and practices.
- Provide a framework, and support, for the Leadership Team in the development, achievement and evaluation of their strategic goals.
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of a business focused Organizational Development, including:
- Learning & Development
- Strategic goal setting
- Quarterly check-ins/reviews
Business Growth
- Own current and future job descriptions, establish and recommend salary ranges, offers and compensation adjustments.
- Own and oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training processes.
- Develop policies/procedures, benefits, employee engagement and retention programs and long-term solutions to support and accommodate growth.
- Effectively balance the needs of the individual and the organization and manage risk.
- Work with each department to ensure hiring needs meet budget requirements and business goals.
- Develop and maintain company benchmarks in key areas of the business to ensure no loss of opportunity due to inadequate staffing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in HR, Organizational Development, or Training Leadership role.
- Degree from an accredited four year college or university (psychology, organizational leadership, HR preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/GSuite applications, and employee management systems (Bamboo HR, Wisetail, ADP WorkForceNow).
- Self-motivated with grit, high energy, and the ability to be 100% focused and dedicated to seeing employees, and the organization, succeed.
- Highly organized and proficient in improving existing processes and building new processes from scratch.
- Experience building and fostering a culture aligned to core values.
