Snow Removal Technician - Sidewalks
Reports to: Production Manager
Supervises: N/A
Position Overview:
The Snow Removal Technician is responsible for the removal of snow in driveways, parking lots and other designated areas. Work is performed in accordance to pre-established schedules, specifications, and procedures established by Company policy.
Duties:
- Operate snow removal equipment to clear snow and ice from parking lots, driveways and other designated areas.
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snowfall or icy conditions
- Follow designated routes and schedules for snow removal
- Use shovels and blowers to clear sidewalks, entrances, and other areas not accessible by plow
- Spread salt or other de-icing agents to prevent slippery conditions
- Perform routine maintenance on snow plow equipment to ensure proper functioning
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating snow plow equipment, skid steers and loaders preferred but not required
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
