Yaskawa is currently seeking a Strategic Account Representative to work at the corporate headquarters in Waukegan, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter domestic orders for global customers.
  • Manage shipping schedules through customer portals and Yaskawa spreadsheet documentation. Updates ship dates, pricing, confirmations, quantities.
  • Assist semiconductor customers and general que customers in resolving issues regarding expediting, supplier delays, customer-specific requirements. Makes judgment calls on expedited orders, joggling available parts to fill hot purchase orders, review customer forecasts and cut purchase orders to meet needs.
  • Attend meetings with customers and suppliers forecast meetings, product, and design meetings. Reviews backlog, on-time delivery performance, and follows up with customers regarding updates.
  • Serve as backup for Sr. Strategic Rep, supervisor, and Inside Sales.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and customer portals.
  • Experience providing customer service in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technically proficient to substitute alternative solutions/products to help meet customers’ technical and delivery requirements.
  • Ability to handle issues diplomatically and resolve difficult situations in a professional manner.
