JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for recruitment for union and field roles. Collaborates with Hiring Managers and operations, to identify business needs/demand and desired qualifications of potential candidates. Manages high volume recruitment process. Screen candidates, conducts initial phone interviews and selects candidates to continue in the interview process. Responsible for direct hires. Source candidates to assist in lead flow and ensures documentation is in accordance with all legal guidelines. Assesses company requirements, union practices, OFCCP, federal, state and local laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Connect with prospective drivers who have expressed interest in driving for our company.
- Process background checks, Motor Vehicle Reports and other reports necessary to ensure applicants comply Yellow hiring standards.
- Coordinate and schedule new hires for orientation.
- Scan all essential documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Attention to detail shown through complete and accurate work
- Good interpersonal skills, well-developed verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel
- Effectively prioritize responsibilities and meet assigned deadlines
- Self-Motivated
- Proficient with Tenstreet or similar software
- Basic knowledge of DOT hiring guidelines

EDUCATION
Based on the technical and professional responsibilities of the position, the Driver Recruiter is required to have:
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- 1 years in sales, driver recruiting, and or Logistics / Transportation industry
EXPERIENCE
Must demonstrate the ability to understand and track all driver requisitions. Must possess a strong problem-solving aptitude and ability to apply problem solving strategies to improve recruiting/hiring processes.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time position with an hybrid schedule.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs. of supplies and materials is required.
