Direct ministry in the local high school and with high schoolers by fostering the following five essentials:

Faithful Bible Teaching

Collaborative Community Strategy

Adults Who Empower

Consistently pursue high schoolers and engage them in life-long relationships with Jesus using the following seven Relational Ministry Actions (RMAs) which are Campus Life’s Specialized skill set to move loving relationships forward:

Contacting – Going into the teenage world to initiate new relationships.

Building Times – Spending time with high school students to build new relationships and grow existing ones.

Club – Meeting with a large group of high school kids in a safe, high energy, non Christian friendly setting to talk about relevant topics and connect them to God’s truth.

Appointments – Meeting with high school students to focus on their individual needs.

Small Groups – Meeting with several high school students to have an interactive discussion about relevant topics and connect them to truth.

Core Team – A team of Christian teenagers with adult mentors who together follow Jesus in a way that naturally invites friends to discover Jesus with them.

Summer Youth Trip – Engaging high school students on a week long adventure to build relationships through shared memories, point them to Jesus, and grow their relationship with Him.

Accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching high schoolers to apply it in their lives. Focus on competent preparation and relevant presentation. Intentionally work together with local churches, agencies, and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry. Strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group.

Campus Life staff build and lead teams of Christian adults (and students) who are committed to investing in the relational ministry process with lost teens. Doing as much of these as possible using the weekly clubs, lunches, Core, and drop in center.

We seek a strong leader who can connect with students, parents, school administrators, business leaders, and churches. The candidate must be a self starter with a passion for discipleship evangelism who wants to be part of an excellent growing team of youth ministry professionals. All staff will be trained and assisted in personal financial support raising.

Because the overriding religious purpose and mission of Youth for Christ USA is to communicate and introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ to young people and their families, and in that regard to make, educate, and encourage life-long disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very important that you as an employee in the movement of Youth for Christ be recognized as an associate minister of the Gospel. As an employee of Youth for Christ and an associate minister of the Gospel, YFC expects all employees to:

Seek God’s guidance and wisdom, through prayer and meditation, for the organization as a whole as well as for specific ministry initiatives.

Participate and lead regular times of prayer, devotion and worship as a regular aspect of your role within YFC.

Teach and preach from the Holy Bible at clubs, YFC staff meetings, conferences, camps and events.

Model empathy, humility and care for all people. This includes promoting equity and inclusion in word and in the practice of faith expression.

YFC employees will have an opportunity to be commissioned or licensed as a minister of the Gospel through the established Youth for Christ process, and/or ordained by an outside body recognized by Youth for Christ USA.

All YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to— extending invitations to fund raising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
