Position Summary:
The Third Party Recovery Supervisor assists the Manager in the day to day operations of the Patient Financial Services division of Third Party Recovery. This individual serves as the primary escalation point for all Third Party Recovery team members, supervising their workload and outputs, and working with business associate management on vendor related escalations. This individual has a firm understanding of healthcare regulations that dictate operational requirements and practices.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years Health Care experience. Two (2) years patient accounting experience to include the billing and follow-up of health care insurance claims. Two (2) years in customer service.
- AAHAM CRCS Required or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.
- Two years RPMS experienced required. Two (2) years IBM (or compatible) computer experience or class credits including Dbase, MS Power Point MS Excel, and MS Word. Alphabetic and numerical filing experience required. Experience using office machinery including printers, photocopiers, fax machines, and multi-line phone systems.
- Typing speed of 50 wpm, 10-key calculator by touch.
- Ability to speak Yup'ik preferred.
- Completes departmental Scorecard. Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices. Assist Recovery Specialists in resolving denials received. Assist with reimbursement appeals and problems. Prepare reports and analyses to include financial reports, setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Assist in Business Office interviews of Third Party Recovery specialists.
