What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Day Camp Counselor position at YMCA of Delaware?
Essential Functions:

Lead and guide a group of 10-15 campers and work to insure a positive and nurturing camp experience for each of them.

Plan, organize and implement specific programs for the group.

Submit weekly lesson plans to Unit Director.

Follow pre-planned schedule of activities, getting group to each activity on time.

Work with Unit Director and Junior staff in the planning of unit activities including specials and special events.

Plan and implement rainy day programming.

Keep daily attendance and count campers at each new activity.

Assist in pool supervision during afternoon recreational swims.

Assist and participate in planning and organizing the overnight, family nights, and camp carnival activities.

Attend and staff the camp carnival, one family night and the camp overnight or the Friendship Fire.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Previous camp experience, or experience working with groups of children
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to set-up and break down all program supplies and equipment
Preferred Qualification:
- Multi-Lingual
