Position Purpose: The Oscar Lasko YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Sports Instructor to plan, organize and deliver value-driven sports programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. Responsibilities: Plan, organize and lead sports activities and games for all participants Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc Manage all equipment Maintain a clean and risk-free environment Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: Must be 15 years of age or older Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in sports Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills Demonstrate the ability to relate and positively interact with children and adults Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs Benefits: Making a difference in a person’s life every day Fun, fast-paced work environment Working for a diverse and inclusive community-based non-profit Free individual membership (or discounted family membership), valid with active employment and includes program discounts throughout the YMCA of Greater Brandywine Association
