What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Staff- Northside YMCA position at YMCA of Greater Richmond?
The Northside YMCA is seeking energetic and responsible individuals to work as Camp Counselors and Program Specialists for our summer day camp programs for grades K-8. We are looking for seasonal (part-time, up to 40 hours/week) and regular (part-time, up to 27 hours/week) employees. Summer Camp runs May-September. The pay for this position is between $13-$15 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Hiring incentive available.
DUTIES
Summer Camp Counselors will lead and facilitate games and activities for a group of campers.
Program Specialists are leaders who facilitate one or more specific activities such as Art, Music/Dance/Drama, Archery & Marksmanship (training will be provided), Nature, etc.
Both positions will have the opportunity to positively impact hundreds of youth in our community. We are looking for dependable role models who love to have fun! In camp, you will be responsible for the well-being of your campers and providing a safe, engaging environment for them.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates must be 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED. Please upload your proof of education.
Counselors must have at least six months of youth development experience. Please upload your resume which details your six months of youth development experience.
College level courses and CPR/AED/First Aid are highly desirable.
