1. Job Summary:

The HRIS Data Entry Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Human Resource Information Systems data. The incumbent performs quality review to ensure data submissions are accurate and align with YMCA policies and procedures.

2. Essential Functions:

  • Maintains HRIS data including the processing of data and paperwork for hires, terminations, position/pay/employment status updates, and other HR/compliance forms/documents accurately and efficiently
  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity throughout HR system
  • Provides support and professional customer service to the organization by responding to internal requests via telephone, email, and in person, to provide information/answers, ensures prompt problem resolution, follow-up on outstanding items and escalates issues as appropriate
  • Perform Talent Management data import which includes validation of information loaded
  • Provides administrative support and assists with various projects and activities as requested

3. Relationships:

This position reports to the HRIS and Payroll Manager who reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. The incumbent acts as a liaison between Human Resources and the branches/camps/programs in regards to all aspects of team member information processing. The incumbent also interacts closely with the finance & accounting department, payroll/benefits/human resource staff, and external service providers including auditors.

4. Qualifications:

Required

  • Minimum of two (2) years practical administrative experience preferably in Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of HRMS systems such as Kronos Workforce Central (similar systems include PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or SAP)
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to properly handle and manage confidential data
  • Ability to prioritize and systematize own work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management
  • Experience with Kronos Systems – Workforce Central Suite (HR/Payroll and TimeKeeper) and Workforce Acquisition
  • Advanced Excel skills
5. Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
