POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the maintenance and improvement operations of YMCA facilities and vehicles, including preventative maintenance, and manages related budgets for the Bradford Facility and Early Learning Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide overall coordination of facility maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance.
Ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems including preventive and routine maintenance, fire safety, security and pool operating systems.
Responsible for maintenance of the indoor pool including daily testing and the opening and closing of pools including Health Department inspections and regulations.
Complete repair work and projects in a timely manner, oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds, review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.
Work with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts., etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.
Develop budgets supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitor expenditures against budget.
Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule and direct assigned staff and volunteers. Facilitates communication and provides leadership; models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Review and evaluate performance. Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Ability to recognize and anticipate problems and difficulties pertaining to Maintenance department responsibilities and functions.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required within 90 days of employment.
Over all building maintenance and repair of the ELC and must be able to pass all PA state clearances.
Participate with other members of management in the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
Advise management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.
Maintain accurate MSDS manual.
Review and comply with OSHA standards for the facility.
Ensure that assigned vehicles (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.
Update facility plans periodically. May develop annual plan of capital projects, consistent with the YMCA’s strategic plan and community needs.
