The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is looking for a new leader to join the team and support the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Amon G. Carter Downtown YMCA has a $1M operating budget with a wide variety of programs and services supporting the community in living healthy lifestyles, developing youth, and fostering social responsibility. Our facility, originally built in 1924, includes a large fitness center, multiple group exercise rooms, indoor pool, full sized gymnasium, racquetball courts, large playhouse, and a youth zone. Currently the Downtown Y serves 1,300 membership units. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in membership and facility operations.
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, the Associate Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership to the Membership department. In addition, they will oversee daily operations, including volunteer development, financial development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, community relations, collaborations with community agencies, and budget. The Amon G. Carter Downtown YMCA has an Annual Campaign goal of $100,000, in which the Associate Executive Director will be directly responsible for the community portion. It is an expectation that the candidate live in the community that the Amon G. Carter Downtown YMCA serves.

Education & Certifications : Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred. CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
Experience & Background : High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful. The ability to direct programs through leading both staff and volunteers, developing and monitoring budgets, developing and marketing programs and bringing enthusiasm and a passion for fundraising. A proven track record in building authentic relationships with others and the ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. This leader will need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish would be a plus.
