What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Coordinator position at YMCA?
The Facility Coordinator develops, maintains, and facilitates evenings & weekends at the Norfolk Family YMCA. This includes supervision and assistance with member services, and oversight of all facility rentals & birthday parties. Providing excellent communication with staff and members while ensuring that all safety regulations and policies of the YMCA are met.
- Associate degree in business or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Excellent personal computer skills and experience in customer service is preferred. Must have great interpersonal, leadership, public relations, and communication skills.
- The ideal candidate will not only possess knowledge of YMCA mission and values but will already be working to manifest these ideals in all aspects of their life.
- Adult, Infant & Child CPR trained and certified.
- Responsible for all rentals of the facility, including but not limited to Fieldhouse, Pool, Batting Cages & Gymnasiums.
- Responsible for the B-Day Party Department, including scheduling, staffing & providing a positive experience to members & guests.
- Responsible for the oversight of the Y in the evening hours & weekends, including but not limited to ensuring positive member experience through member compliance with safety rules & regulations of the facility.
- Assist with maintaining a positive facility presentation by being aware of facility needs.
- Providing leadership and participates in the Membership Quality Team. Assisting, evaluating, and growing all membership services ensuring community needs are met and risk management is in place in accordance with YMCA guidelines; and through motivational support and guidance supports member, program participants, and staff in achieving their goals. This will include direct service and support.
- Communicates with staff, participants, and members in a timely and professional manner and answer all questions that will support a positive experience with the YMCA.
- Implements, follows, and enforces all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures, and those for the prevention of child abuse, fostering a pleasant, professional, and safe environment.
- Promotes and incorporates the Norfolk Family YMCA four core values and character development model into all program activities.
- All other duties assigned by the CEO or Associate Director.
