What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Fit Instructor position at YMCA?
Merge your passion & skills with our mission! As a Mobile Fit Instructor at the YMCA, you will help provide food and fun to children and youth in our community. Every day you will ensure participants at each site receive a nutritious meal and enjoy a fun activity, helping them stay healthy and reach their full potential. To thrive in this role, experience in early childhood, nutrition, health & fitness or similar fields would be helpful. A positive attitude and lots of energy is a must! You must be at least 17 years old and have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick up and transport daily meals and supplies to be used at various sites
- Ensure that children are safe and supervised at all times
- Ensure children receive 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity at each site visit
- Serve meals to each child according to the USDA and YMCA program guidelines
- Maintain positive relationships with youth, parents and other staff, modeling relationship
building skills in all interactions
- Design and implement program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values
- Adhere to all programmatic and YMCA policies and standards
- Attend staff meetings and required trainings
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Adapt to changing conditions and priorities of the program
- Other duties as assigned
