Job Description
The Program Director will work directly with our STAR 4 afterschool program that meets directly in the school district builidng or at our Downtown YMCA. The position includes but is not limited to: working with kids, homework help, implementation of STEM, promoting Heathly Eating Physical Activity (HEPA) and large group activities.
Qualifications
Degree in Education or qualifying child care and education credits.
Essential Functions
- Supervision of youth ages kindergarten through sixth grade
- Building relationship with the you and their parents
- Writing and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and that are fun (of course!!)
- Build community collaborations to provide quality program activities
- Upholding the STARS quality program and Department of Human Services regulations
- Managing the participants required paperwork
- Working with other staff
- Support fundraising and community programs that the YMCA association implements
Salary : $35,360 - $39,520
